10th Asia-Oceania Symposium on Fire Science and Technology (AOSFST), Tsukuba, Japan

University of Leeds' Fire and Explosion group attended the 10th Asia-Oceania Symposium on Fire Science and Technology (AOSFST) held on 5th-7th October, 2015 in Tsukuba, Japan. There were a total three oral presentation and one poster from the University of Leeds fire and explosion group.

Professor Gordon Andrews presented the work titled ‘PVC Cable Fire Toxicity using the Cone Calorimeter’. Abdulaziz Alarifi presented one oral paper titled ‘Toxic Gas Emissions from a Timber-Pallet-Stack Fire in a Full Scale Compartment’ and one poster paper. Muhammad Azam Saeed also presented his work through an oral presentation titled ‘Improvements to the Hartmann Dust Explosion Equipment for MEC measurements that are Compatible with Lean Limit Measurements for Gases’. After the symposium, all the presented papers will be included in the symposium proceedings published electronically by Springer. All papers will have DOI’s assigned and will be part of the CrossRef system. All papers are expected to be indexed by Scopus, EI Compendex and ISI-CPCI (Conference Proceedings Citation Index).
