Esri 2014 UK Young Scholar of the Year Award

Low Carbon DTC student, James Gooding has won the Esri 2014 UK Young Scholar of the Year Award which shows excellence in scholarship whilst carrying out interesting research using any Esri software. Esri are the software company behind ArcGIS which is the market leading Geographical Information System (GIS) software.

The format of the submission was an outstanding research paper or significant software development. The prize was for James’ use of GIS in his research into solar and wind technologies in urban areas. James will be visiting San Diego in July for the Esri International User Conference where he will receive an award presented by Jack Dangermond (CEO of Esri).
