Hong Kong International Energy Conference

Three Energy Leeds researchers were invited speakers at the 5th International Conference on Energy held in Hong Kong from 15th-17th October 2014.

The conference was organised by the White Rose Consortium and the City University of Hong Kong on the topic of ‘Sustainable Energy Policies and Technologies’.

Prof Peter Taylor (Centre for Integrated Energy Research) gave an overview of UK energy policy, while Dr Susan Grant-Muller (Institute for Transport Studies) spoke about her research on intelligent transport systems and Dr Kris Milkowski (PACT Business Development Manager) gave an update on carbon capture and storage.
Penny Cunningham, Energy Leeds Innovation Manager, also attended to represent the wider university energy research community.

The conference was followed by three parallel workshops on Friday 18th October that explored opportunities for new collaborations between UK and Hong Kong researchers in a number of key technology and policy areas.
