Getting Involved with the Centre

If you are working in an energy-related field at the University of Leeds and would like to become involved with the Centre for Integrated Energy Research please contact Professor William Gale (w.f.gale@leeds.ac.uk) for further information. The Centre can help you develop your research by providing the following support:

  • Opportunities to develop research interests and profile in an area of strategic importance to the University, research funders (public sector and industrial), Government (UK and EU) and the general public
  • Support for proposal development, for research concepts integrating technological and social science perspectives, including: interdisciplinary research concept development; interface to industry and policy makers; project management; and, connections to researchers, across campus and beyond, with interests in energy
  • Coaching, mentoring, and support with project planning, for interdisciplinary PhD students
Energy

  • Tailored funding opportunity searches and on-going scanning
  • Support for ‘in-flight’ energy-related research and innovation projects, integrating technological and social science perspectives, including: integration of disciplinary perspectives and facilitating interdisciplinary conversations; interface to industry and policy makers, to promote research dissemination and impact; and, connections to researchers, across campus and beyond, with interests in energy
  • Financial and facilitation support for CIER-branded initiatives that build links between disciplines
